NASA's Curiosity rover has completed 4,000 days of exploring Mars

NASA's Curiosity rover has been on Mars for 4,000 days since landing on the Red Planet in August 2012, NASA said.

Since setting foot on the Gale Crater on Mars on August 5 2012, the rover has been busy carrying out interesting scientific research. Recently, the rover drilled a 39th sample, then took the crushed rock and put the sample into its belly for detailed analysis.

To study whether ancient Mars had conditions that supported microbial life, Curiosity gradually climbed the foot of Mount Sharp, which is five kilometers high and whose layers formed at different periods in Mars' history, then recorded how the planet's climate changed over time. , explained NASA.

Launched on November 26 2011, Curiosity is the largest and most capable rover ever sent to Mars.
