“We believe that creating a safe and positive digital environment is the responsibility of all parties, including TikTok. "Ahead of the 2024 elections, we continue to expand cooperation with various parties, including fact-checking partners as a form of our ongoing efforts to fight misinformation," said Outreach and Partnerships, Trust and Safety, TikTok Indonesia Anbar Jayadi in Jakarta.

Mafindo and Tulisem will also be part of the upcoming TikTok Election Hub, where the Mafindo and Lucudem TikTok accounts will be listed as additional sources of credible information for TikTok users who want to know about things related to civil integrity and general elections.

Mafindo Social Media Committee Chair Silma Agbas assesses that the amount of hoax content will increase ahead of the 2024 Election, so every stakeholder needs to sit down together to think about the best solution to create a positive internet experience and tackle the spread of politically charged misinformation.

"We believe collaboration with TikTok can help make the information ecosystem healthy and protect voters from dangerous narratives during the 2024 election stages," said Amalia.
