Ai Pin, the Latest Artificial Intelligence Device from Humane

A startup company in Silicon Valley called Humane launched their first product called Ai Pin, an artificial intelligence (AI) device that can be installed on clothing.

The Ai Pin is designed to be worn on clothing and can be tapped to talk to a virtual assistant powered by technology from OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, and the cloud computing power of Microsoft.

This device uses a laser projection system to display monochromatic text and images on the user's hand, as reported by Reuters on Friday (10/11).

Formed by former Apple veterans who worked on the iPhone, Humane is one of many companies in Silicon Valley trying to invent the next wave of consumer devices.

Humane offers a device without a traditional screen that relies almost entirely on artificial intelligence to interact with users.

Pin's virtual assistant aims to excel by crafting messages in the user's speaking style and offering a “Catch Me Up” feature to declutter a cluttered email inbox.

Pin also features a camera that can take photos or use computer vision to scan objects such as food, then provide users with an estimate of their nutritional content.

“Ai Pin is the embodiment of our vision to integrate artificial intelligence into the fabric of everyday life, enhancing our capabilities without diminishing our humanity,” Humane Co-founder and President Imran Chaudhri said in a statement.

The company said the Ai Pin will be available in the United States starting November 16 and is priced at US $ 699 (around Rp. 11 million).
