Meta Group CEO Mark Zuckeberg announced that now the "Channel" feature available in the WhatsApp instant messaging application has more than 500 million monthly users.

In WhatsApp's official press release, Friday, the "Channels" feature was said to have helped many users to get the latest information they wanted from teams, organizations and users' favorite figures directly.

Channels become separate services that users can join and are not connected to the private conversations that users encounter every day. In this way, the channels that users follow cannot be seen by other users.

The feature, which was introduced in September 2023, has now been updated and the “Stickers” option is now available for use on channels.

In Indonesia, WhatsApp received a positive response from users who were happy to receive updates from their favorite channels.

Channel Admins also take advantage of this opportunity to communicate more closely with their followers. Some channels that are popular with users include BMKG, NBA Indonesia, Masak.TV and many more.

Channel admins have been using the feature in “Channels” to share the latest information with their followers since the feature was first launched.
