Director of Control at the Directorate General of Postal and Information Technology (Ditjen PPI) of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Dany Suwardany, said that the application was presented with the hope of providing an overview of the quality of cellular network services for internet, SMS and telephone services.
“This is to see the experience of the quality of telecommunications services. "So users can use the speed test feature to measure videos or web services and then the results will come out," said Dany in Jakarta, Thursday.
Dany said Sigmon comes from the abbreviation of the word Signal Monitoring which literally translates into Indonesian as signal monitoring.
The application is now available in the application store for Android and iOS cellphone users.
When tested by ANTARA, for the first time users had to create a new account, to make it easier Sigmon presented two instant options for registering using a Google account or a Facebook social media account.
