The international technology company Yandex launched Yandex AI Neural Network Rendering Technology, abbreviated as YandexART, which is artificial intelligence (AI) or artificial intelligence that uses text commands to produce images and animations that can help students and professionals who focus on the creative industry.

YandexART is one of many projects powered by Neural Networks that Yandex is releasing in 2023. The networks integrated in the Shedevrum app will soon be available across Yandex services.

"We hope to help students and professionals who focus on the creative industry, so they can produce more stunning work and realize even the boldest ideas thanks to high generation quality," said Yandex VP Strategy Alexander Popovskiy as quoted in an official statement, Tuesday.

The Shedevrum application, which is used in many countries around the world, including Indonesia, is a Yandex mobile application for users to create videos, images and text created with artificial intelligence. Shedevrum users can create music album covers, book illustrations, and artwork for blogs, online courses, and even theater performances.

YandexART is capable of generating images and animations using cascade diffusion. First, the Neural Network will generate images and frames based on the user's text commands, then gradually increase the image resolution and add details.

Compared with the previous generation of Shedevrum diffusion models, YandexART graphics are more realistic and detailed. Based on the results of internal evaluations carried out by assessors, the model provided better results in 60 percent of cases.

Yandex also increased the training dataset by 1.5 times to reach 330 million images and text descriptions. YandexART has three filtering modes to display the most aesthetic images and a new text recognition algorithm that helps Neural Networks better understand what users want.

The new Neural Network does a better job of rendering faces, eyes, and hands, allowing it to create highly realistic portraits. Technology also has a better understanding of certain cultures.

YandexART knows famous places and cities, important historical figures, as well as cartoon and fairy tale characters loved all over the world.
